Asbestos

Some RMHS properties contain asbestos materials.  Where asbestos is present and in good condition, it is usually safe to leave it in place.  Asbestos becomes a risk if it is disturbed or damaged.

If you are planning to carry out any work that may disturb the fabric of the building for example, drilling, cutting, sanding or undertaking refurbishment works, it is not only important to contact us to ask for permission but to ensure you contact us before any work begins.  We can then advise whether further investigation or an intrusive asbestos survey is required to ensure the work can be carried out safely.
